URBAN OBJECTIVE RIFLEMEN (IAR)
URBAN OBJECTIVE RIFLEMEN (IAR)
This is Individual Automatic Rifleman (IAR) training for urban operators. URBAN OBJECTIVE RIFLEMEN are trained in the art and science of engaging individual and area targets in an urban enviroment with high volume, suppressive cover fire, from various fixed positions and on the move in support of evacuation activities and first responders.
Urban operations present significant operational concerns, such as near and far objective collateral risk. The Urban Objective Rifleman course trains operators in novel solutions and methods that address the concerns of collateral risk. The UOR course will emphasize advanced trigger control management, burst vs. controlled fire, rapid target engagement, bipod deployment, accuracy and ammo management, equipment selection.
You will be trained through dynamic range instruction, progressively challenging drills, confidence building courses, coaching and individual evaluation.
You will be trained to excel in the requisite skills to deliver accurate sustained saturated fire to intermediate distances (medium engagement range) against multiple targets.
Operators of lawfully possessed select fire M-16/M-4's, binary triggers, forced reset triggers and similar specialty type triggers are encouraged to take this course.
Ammunition: 2000 rds of rifle ammunition
Equipment requirements: We recommend M-4 pattern rifles in 5.56 with a attached bipod. Select fire capable rifles and specialty type triggers are optional. Battle rifle calibers will not be permitted.
